INVEMAR
The project establishes a direct relationship with the land that seeks to reach the sea; takes the materials of the place, concrete ocher that with its texture recalls the layers of the earth, creating a direct link with the local tones found in the surrounding natural landscape.
The water appears in the system of courtyards, both the lower level and the public space, in a double condition: bring the sea to the building, and reflect the sky, thus reinforcing the condition of the courtyards as connectors between heaven and earth.
The system offers two accesses, one leading to the sea, where a surface unfolds to lead the general public towards the museum and the library that comprise the cultural area; the other access is located towards the mountain where it opens to the city answering its predominant urban traces and it is configured the access to the scientific and administrative facilities that are located in a volume that stands out at the end of the line. The project is thus divided into three functional areas, on the one hand the public-cultural with an independent access and located on the semi-buried level, on the other the scientific, and finally the administrative developed in the tower.
